Blakes Scholar Award
Funding scholarships is an important part of our commitment to students. Recently, Blakes established a C$1-million National Scholarship and Awards Program to help finance the costs of legal education for exceptional and deserving students in 16 law schools across the country. Those universities are:
University of Alberta University of Calgary Dalhousie University University of Manitoba McGill University University of Montréal University of New Brunswick Osgoode Hall Law School |
Peter A. Allard School of Law University of Ottawa Queen’s University University of Saskatchewan University of Toronto University of Victoria University of Western Ontario University of Windsor |
Known as Blakes Scholars and chosen by the schools, the recipients are recognized for academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities and personal accomplishments. Additional selection criteria may also include financial need and membership in a disadvantaged societal group. We also support numerous organizations and activities in law schools including clinic and moot programs, lecture series, human rights organizations, business clinics, orientation events, student newspapers, law journals, social events and sporting events.
