Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is seeking an experienced professional to join the Toronto office as Assistant Director, Student Programs & Diversity Pipeline Initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Legal Personnel & Professional Development, the Assistant Director, Student Programs & Diversity Pipeline Initiatives, will be responsible for all aspects of the Toronto office’s student program, including recruitment, performance management and professional development of law students. Responsibilities will also include a focus on inclusion and pipeline initiatives with a goal of assisting in the attraction of individuals from diverse backgrounds to the practice of law in a business law firm. Blakes will support the learning and development of the successful candidate.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Preferably several years of practice experience
- Demonstrated interest in recruitment, development of people and diversity and inclusion
- Strong organizational skills, an innovative mindset, developed leadership skills, confidence in their written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team across the Firm
