Legal Assistant, Restructuring & Insolvency

Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), one of Canada’s largest and most successful law firms, is currently looking for a Legal Assistant to join the Restructuring & Insolvency group in the Toronto office.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and maintaining meeting calendars
  • Maintaining filing systems, including reviewing, filing and archiving emails
  • Drafting correspondences and preparing documents
  • Scheduling and coordinating work-related travel arrangements
  • Responsible for administrative duties such as printing and scanning documents



  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Executive Assistant


  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, CMS, Nuance PDF and InterAction is required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Heightened attention to detail with the ability to exercise sound judgement
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
